Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Programming and creating solutions to often complicated problems whilst collaborating within my team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I very much enjoy the degree apprenticeship and the balance of work and study. University seems quite easy compared to what we do at work and therefore we are well seated to achieve highly in our degrees

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
My technical knowledge and ability has come on leaps and bounds and I have had the opportunity to diversify my knowledge in fields of my choice based on what projects I choose to pickup

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The problem is generally quite well structured and although the onboarding process to such companies can be a long process once you are fully integrated with your team communication between Uni, HR and your team becomes fluid and easy
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
The employer is great and specifically my manager has helped me a lot in personal and technical avenues. Everyone is friendly and the general atmosphere on the floor gives you a sense of purpose
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Unfortunately QMUL are not always as aware of what we do on a day to day basis however they are making massive improvements with new buildings and infrastructure. Covid also created lots more admissions than usual
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The degree generally goes along side what you're doing at work however often times you learn more at the job than at the uni.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are loads of different activities and social events where everyone is friendly and inclusive. All teams and activities are funded with budgets so there is often lots of fun stuff being organised
