Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
I rotate around different teams to gain experience in various areas of the law.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I have been able to build a large network of professional contacts which should benefit my future career.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have improved my organisational skills through prioritising tasks in order of urgency and planning my day in accordance to the work I have been asked to assist with.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
I then work with my team Tuesday to Friday either in the London office or from home.
I have been given the opportunity to rotate around different teams.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
I have also been allocated a team supervisor who manages my work load and monitors my progress on a day to day basis.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
There is an online portal which contains study notes and past papers.
I have been allocated a supervisor who arranges regular calls to check on my progress and overall wellbeing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
Modules provide information about the black letter law and how this is used in practice.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
I am a member of the firm's young professionals network which organises events for junior external professionals.
I have had the opportunity to volunteer for charity away days and have completed a half marathon and London City fun run.
