Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a daily basis I am required to carry out standardised audit tests on financial data to ensure that it is free from material misstatements. I am required to liase with clients on the daily, as well as working efficiently within my team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Despite being really challenging and working long hours at certain times in the year, it has been a really beneficial experience. I am able to make friends from a variety of backgrounds due to the number of people being on graduate and apprenticeship courses.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Through my apprenticeship I have become much more confident as a person. It has also pushed me outside of my comfort zone to be able to effectively communicate with clients.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised with your time split between work and study. You are given time off to study but you are also required to study and work at the same time. It would make the experience better if more time was given to study.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

When working at EY, you are given a designated counsillor who is there to give you advice and to have your back. This support is very helpful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

You receive a lot of support from your training provider during the apprenticeship. They are always available should you need to email them and they are also very helpful when studying for exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The material you study with the training provider directly links in with the work you do daily. Therefore it helps me to perform better.

It is a great stepping stone in your career if you wish to go into accounting. There are also a number of opportunities within EY to progress.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
It is quite hard work but the outcome is worth it.
