It’s really enjoyable to be in the fast paced consulting world of work with globally recognised clients, working alongside steakholders and partners while learning on the side

4/5
Learnt how to use different EY systems and how to work as part of a team. Networking skills and programming skills through uni

4/5
20% off the job learning. Generally one day a week spent at online uni with extra study days here and there. The rest of the week working full time is a nice balance
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
It’s a new programme so my employer is very keen on feedback and making sure I get the most out of my degree and career. They are keen for me to succeed and learn new skills to become a professional consultant
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Monthly calls with my coach which are helpful and they are on hand every weekday if I have any queries.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
We study modules relevant to the technology sector and build coding skills with languages such as python and Java. It is good to broaden knowledge of the technology space.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Lots of social networks and teams. I’ve joined the EY netball squad and women in technology. Many opportunities for side of desk to be able to broaden your interests and get to know others interested in the same areas as you. Eg. Sustainable finance, cyber security, metaverse

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend EY to a friend?
Yes
Why?
People oriented and they really want and push you to succeed. Many opportunities to network and get to know colleges with the chance to work in different competencies and sectors despite your team alignment
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
Be yourself. Be outgoing and encouraging towards others. Really try to align yourself with the ey values before any interviews as that is what the employers are looking for in applicants. Give opinions and input in group activities and really try to draw from your experiences
