Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working with the client advisors/client account managers with tasks they require such as due diligence checks, updating client data a a variety of other tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme, I definitely chose the right path instead of university as I get my degree with a top University, whilst getting paid and receiving 4 years of experience. The social life is also really good, going out with lots of other apprentices and work colleagues.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I learn something new every day, whether that's a new system or task, and more efficient ways of doing things. UBS really want you to develop and help you to learn anything you want to.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The overall programme is very well structured, you always know what you need to do and what's coming next. There are loads of different people there to help you too, including managers, work mentors and UNI mentors, so you always have someone to help you with everything.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My managers are both lovely and really supporting and if I ever need time to revise for an exam they are more than happy to help me with that , as the bank is very understanding that we are doing our degree as well as the job. (you also get a mentor too)
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I do receive a good amount of support from my training providers, and have a very good mentor with the UNI who helps me stay on track! Sometimes the UNI can be a bit slow replying (not the lecturers/mentors they are normally very quick) but the apprenticeship team at UBS are really good and help to get a hold of them quickly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

All of my essays/UNI work relate to UBS and topics that I look at within work, which is really good as with everything relating it helps to progress on both sides.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a club for everything. You have to reach out to get involved but there are so many different clubs, and are a really good way to network within the rest of the bank. I play for the netball team and it's a really fun thing to do on your lunch break!

Would you recommend UBS to a friend?

Why?
It is a great place to work, I love working for UBS and am really happy I joined them as I haven't met one person who isn't lovely. No matter what level someone is within the bank they are always more than happy to help/talk to you.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UBS?
Just remember a degree apprenticeship is a lot of work, you have to be ready to face a big work load and stay on top of things. Also, you can still keep your social life outside of work, you still have the time and the social life you get from work is also really good!
