I form part of Poundland's Internal Audit Team, I am involved in conducting audit assignments to assess the efficency of buisness processes and compliance with legislation. I also have a role in Poundland's risk management processes.

Due to having no prior audit experience, the skills and knowledge aquired through the apprenticeship have been fundamental in my personal development within my role.

The structure of the programme is good, it is very flexible which is great as I can fit it in around a full-time job.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer. I was granted study leave to attend the IIA Workshops and to revise for exams.
