Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
You'll get given jobs and carry out the work with the help of trained technicians, depending on the job difficulty and your own experience, the help you receive will be appropriate. No day is ever the same and there's always something to do.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I very much enjoy it, my colleges are get to get on with, there's great facilities and a range of work this helps me keep motivated for my job. I also get on well with everyone at college and overall I think its a great programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, I'm always learning everyday I'm at work, at college, studying at home and teaching myself for projects. There's always more to learn in this industry, And Gatwick helps me with it.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised, I have college once a week where I get a base structure for my learning, they'll get through one topic at a time and then I get to put what I've learnt into my workday along with developing my hand skills.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I get amazing support from my employer, There is a manager that looks after all of Gatwick apprentices and they'll regularly have 1 to 1 meetings with me, any needs or problems I have I'm confident that they'll be able to help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My college tutor is also a huge help that I feel I could approach them with anything they would do there best to hep.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel that having both college and work together has really helped me, if there's something I'm unsure about at work, college can help fill in the gaps, and if I have questions after a day at college I can come into work the next day an speak to one of the experienced technicians.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have a couple of outside work projects with one of my collages. which I really enjoy. There is always an opportunity for social events and apprentice fairs to encourage others to go down this career route.
