I look after the welfare of children whilst supporting their personal development and education
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The workload is stressful working almost 11 hours, 5 days a week, with coursework on top of that, but every course is guaranteed to be stressful. The course itself is enjoyable

Yes, I knew nothing of childcare before I began my apprenticeship

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The deadlines are flexible but have a desired timeframe which is a good combination

They help when they can, if I ask for it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

As much as I could want. The only way to improve would be if they could visit the setting to have meetings in person when necessary. Some discussions just can’t be done to the same standard over the phone
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The only improvement would be to include more about practical situations and how to deal with them

Go to a nursery that has shorter shift hours
