Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Every week was different. Week 1 and 2 consisted of zoom meetings where we learnt about the different channels in PepsiCo. Week 3, 4 and 5 was spent with sales development representatives where the goals was to establish relationships with shop owners and try and sell in PepsiCo products. The final week included an overview of marketing where we worked in groups to complete marketing challenges.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Through the internship we worked on a project in groups of 3 and this meant that we were responsible for setting up our own meetings which was a great experience

The sales sessions have provided me with experience in how to pitch products to customers to secure a sale
In marketing session I learnt exactly how to promote a product and how to get exposure in supermarkets as well as online

We had a buddy and mentor that were available to speak to whenever you needed, The intern leaders were also always available for a chat. We were also able to ask anything during workshops which was helpful.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Although the majority of the internship was over zoom it was a welcoming atmosphere where it was evident that everyone wants the best for pepsico products

When applying be yourself and show your genuine interest in PepsiCo. The mission statement is at the heart of all decisions at PepsiCo so keep this in mind. Do not be afraid to ask any questions and really enjoy every task given
