Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am now a trainee Nursing associate thabks to the NVQ Level 3 I achieved with Paragon. I will be a qualified member of staff and I will be able to undertake all nursing roles apart from being able to be in charge of a shift or accept section paper work as I work in mental health.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my program, all my tutors were extremely helpful and I was always able ro contact them if I have any concerns or questions.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Through doing the NVQ I learnt lots of new skills that I have been able to take with me and that I will be abke to use in my new role.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised, I loved the website 'bud' that was used. It was easy to navigate and to see what assignments had been set for me and easy to submit work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer was very supportive, I was able to go to any member of staff with questions and they always did their best to assist me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

So much support! They checked in with me regularly and always made sure I knew what was expected from me. Thanks to them I was able to gain a result of distinction.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has really helped me, it has made me understand not just how to do my role to the best of my ability but also why it should be done in a certain way.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At times we try to arrange out of work social activities but currently due to COVID it has not been so easy to do.

Why?
They were amazing feom start to finish, so helpful and friendly. I was able to gain a qualification I never thought I would be able to and it was all thanks to them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Paragon Skills?
Make sure you organise yourself well. It is not always easy to do the the required work along side a full time job but just believe in yourself. You will get out of this whatever you are willing to put in!
