To what extent did you enjoy your virtual experience?

I really enjoyed meeting other people and getting an insight into the company. It was really helpful and cleared up any questions I had.
How well organised was your virtual experience?

Very well organised, there was a schedule sent out before and we were told what was next from the staff. If I had any questions I knew I could contact the early in careers team to help.
How much did your virtual experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

It helped me realise the different pathways. Although they don’t offer an apprenticeship in the stream I am interested in, I believe that the stream I am on could help me get there in the future. I understand now what I want to do.

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I already had done some research before but after, I really liked the company and I am keen to work there. Talking to the other apprentices really helped.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

Yes definitely. During the networking session, group project, interview, buddies, social activity and group sessions.

Why?
I really liked the company and the people that work there. They seem to value employees and they provide an excellent service to clients. It’s a growing company and it is doing really well.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BDO?
Be yourself. Ask questions if you need to. Make sure you get a deep insight and understanding of the company to make sure you would be happy there and think about the long term as well.
