Allowed us to see different roles that would be available in accounting and how the work life would look like. It also allowed me to collaborate with others in the programme and share ideas and ask questions.
To what extent did you enjoy your Insight?

The insight week was very enjoyable and interactive with many different events taking place everyday. None of the days were the same as there was always something new in line for us.
How well organised was your Insight?

Very well organised with everything we needed sent to us a week prior. All links were easy to access and sent in an organised manner.
How much did your Insight help you in deciding on your future career path?

It allowed me to see the different aspects of accounting and we got talks from all the different sectors and so I was able to see which path I would enjoy more.
Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?

No as it was for my own experience and they were providing me with useful information for my future. Although, we were given free hoodies and other things for the experience!

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I learnt a lot about the company culture. I saw that they were all about diversity and collaboration in order to create new and forward-thinking ideas.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

Many different opportunities to meet employees and have the chance to ask them questions. We were placed in two different small meetings with them to get in a better conversation with them too and ask more specific questions.

Would you recommend BDO to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They were very helpful and organised. They answered a lot of my questions and it was an all around good experience with lots of positive and kind energy from the employees.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BDO?
To be innovative and to bring fresh new ideas to the table. Diversity and new ideas are what is largely accepted at BDO.
