Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I worked alone and alongside a team of other developers to build mainly Twilio based projects for many different customers. This involved using a wide range of Twilio products as well as many different programming languages like Typescript and C# on a regular basis. Additionally I had to contribute to some of the support side of projects after they had been handed over.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility on my placement. Having to write code and develop projects that went to real customers was quite daunting at first but Zing provided incredible internal support and exposed me to all sides of the projects we work on ranging from the planning and initial client calls to the final review meeting.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Zing to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to Zing
I would say to look into Twilio as well as some of the projects that Zing have worked on publicly to see if you would enjoy that kind of work. Also prepare to be a bit out of you depth initially as there is a lot to learn coming straight from university but it eventually gets easier and you are constantly learning on this job so if you enjoy that then this is the job for you!
