Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
My day to day work is shadowing maintenance, with one day per week doing HNC.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
The program can be very boring at times, with very long hours and not enough time off.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
There is plenty to learn and new skill be gain. Learning how to use and fix a robot is a very important skill.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
I find the structure of the whole apprenticeship extremely poorly run. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] simply not told anything at all and every decision is left to the last minute.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
Although there are some good people here that mean well, it's not the type of company who supports their workers and there has been 'a lot of broken promises'.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I find the training provide to have some very helpful staff. They look after us apprentices much more than our employer. The two NVQ guys are very good.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
The simple answer is not enough.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
None

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Only because of the good wages and job opportunities. But not for their management skills.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
Work hard, don't complain, ask a lot of questions and don't believe what you are told in the interview.
