Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
Carrying out rework on the cars as the come of the production line, many of the same issues can be reparative and while training very little hands on which can be boring. not many responsibilities just making sure work and bolts are torqued currently, some projects available but selective choices .
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
They work is mostly repetitive and the issue never seen to get resolved on the bigger picture that will fix the smaller problems. the teams are good depends where abouts you work. The company culture is just about making numbers include working weekends. Not very enjoyable at the moment, had bigger expectations

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
Not really learnt any new skills many simple tasks just knowing how something's comes apart and the right order, most of the courses are in house qualifications so are most likely worthless outside the company. No external courses that I am aware of. May learn more skills are time goes on.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Induction was good but after that the it has been very unorganised no plan in place before starting or plan for locations to be placed at, was just left on the line and was forgotten about at one point. was quick with the first part of the training but not for second part
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Support has been good especially when needed to do uni work during work hours, could have been better to get hold of a laptop after work to do uni work been hard to get hold of one. Has not really been a mentor just normally been placed in a area
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
None absolutely none, been really bad changing hand in dates after work has been due in and then still allowing work to be carried on working one, this only been done due to poor teaching that nobody knows how to answer the questions. it has not been enjoyable so far
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
The training provider by the training provider has had no relevance to work nothing relatable, makes it hard for when doing project. the theory i have learnt have not put into practice, seems like the wrong course at the moment many be later it is the right one have to wait and see
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
No extra work activities or Company events, Social events, Any voluntary initiatives, Events / classes, Local community. After work just have to do uni work as that there has been set loads, just have to compete that, Then will be relaxing and play video games until uni starts again, just uni work

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
No
Why?
More about numbers than the people, very little planning before starting the apprenticeship, has got a little better but still would not recommend until it gets a lot better. would recommend when it gets a lot better but stops becoming just mainly about numbers and more about the working people.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
if successful make sure that you keep pushing for things, things do get abit better you just have to wait and to be honest hope it does, if you just want a job that you go to and come home with no stress then yeah its nice but you will have to work weekends and take holiday when they want to shutdown
