Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I worked on automating an existing manual process to save time, increase efficiency and accuracy. I worked five days a week and within regular work hours (9am-5pm). To deliver on my task, I had to understand how the current process works, and made research on developing a suitable automated process.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I believe I was given just enough responsibility to make me express my abilities and even become a better person professionally and individually.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

During the course of the internship I have learnt how to program using Java. I have learnt more about software engineering and the full process involved in building and deploying a software product. More importantly, I have learned to appreciate the power of team work.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

i enjoyed my internship to the maximum extent. Aside being able to work on a real-time project, I was able to meet several people from diverse backgrounds and culture. It was the most amazing summer ever! I couldn't have imagined any better.
