I work on a variety of clients on their year end and interim audits.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme. Although there are stressful times, I am constantly learning and working with a large variety of people which is very interesting.

I have developed communication, leadership, key audit skills and a variety of others.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There is a very welll organised structure on my programme and I am always aware of when I have time to study and when I need to be working on client work. They are very flexible and I can work around deadlines to help with my workload.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a good amount of support from my employer. They are very flexible in working around busy season at work and the exams set by the provider.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of support from the provider in the means of support documents, live/recorded sessions, open forums, and open lines of communication between the tutors and myself.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have a much better understanding of the audit accounts which allows me to perform better in my role. Without this knowledge, I think it would take me longer to learn/pick up the accounting concepts.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of social and wellbeing acitivites available at my work and I have been given the opportunity to take part in lots of things. I have utilised some of the opportunities provided to me already.

The work culture is very inclusive and there is always an opportunity to learn. You have an imediate network when joining the firm and this only grows the longer you are here. There is limitless room for learning and development.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
Be yourself! KPMG want to hire good people to mould into good workers. Don't think you have to know everything there is about accoutning when applying, you will learn everything as you go. Be inquisitive and creative and show your most authentic self.
