Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Participated in talks concerning external audit and personal work ethic. Finally completed a group project after a couple of days of work which improved my understanding of BDO and the services it provides. Furthermore, at the end of the week, I was interviewed and queried about my desired future with BDO.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The organisers that I met during the week were really helpful in explaining the wide range of career paths that BDO offers, especially during my buddy session, which was useful in my future career planning, as well as being able to get a glimpse into the working culture of the company.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
The format of the week drastically improved my networking abilities. The online nature of the week served as a baptism of fire and organised one-on-one events, such as the speed networking, and the group project, which also helped me with teamwork skills such as communication and conflict resolution, were really useful in preparing me for work in the sector.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I was surprised by the friendliness of all the organisers and people from BDO. I was expecting a kind of scary and dreadful hyper-professional atmosphere, but the organisers were so friendly and helpful, always following up on questions and clearly talking passionately and enthusiastically when asked about the firm's internal atmosphere.
