Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

my day to day tasks would include organising meeting for the partners and directors of the firm. at the moment these are teams meeting as they are not allowed to travel anywhere for these meeting. i am responsible for making sure these meetings do happen for my partners and directors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i enjoy the job i do, i find it challenging and very intresting to understand how a business actually works. at the moment it is difficult to work well as a team as everythng is happenng on teams, however before covid it was great working with the same people everyday.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt many new skills while working at KPMG. i have gained a qualification in business. my confidence have developed massively over the past year and half. i am now able to speak to many different people without getting nervous as before i would do, especially over the phone.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

we had to spent a week down in reading at a hotel for our induction. this is so we got know everyone and the task we would be facing at work. we had many training down in manchester every month pre covid this was to help with our final exam.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

at the start i didn't get much support from my manager as she was in a different office to me and would never responsed to my emails. but now i have a new manager who supports me in everything i need help with and is always there to help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

i have now pass my qualification but when i was doing it i had a tutor who always got in touch to see how i was doing with my coursework and if i needed any help. also bpp had a great online learning portal for anything you needed help with.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

what i learnt on my qualification didn't really relate to my job, other then i the coursework we did was all about my job role. but the training days for the exams was just about business terms that i didn't need to know anyother time in my job
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes there are many different networking events you can get involved in. everything you can think of there is a club for. KPMG also have many social event before coivd. my favourite was when they did food taste in the office. this was agreat way of meeting many new people.

Why?
i think is it a great starting point for a career. you learn everything you need to know to become a better person. i think it is a great place to work there is so many different thing you can get involved in. it is a great place to work.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
for the assessment day just make sure to do your research on the comany before you go.the main thing they are looking for is that you know the company values and how you can apply them into day to day work. and just try to act confidence its key.
