Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Our day to day role is to follow the maintenance associates to breakdowns and problems. Where we are able to assist and learn from them.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have enjoyed going around the areas however now I'm ready to start to specialize in a certain area. The programme is constantly improving and changing.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned new mechanical skills whilst being out on placement which have helped develop my overall skill level.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Since i have started the apprenticeship there has been lots of changes t the staff and the structure which has caused some un organization however it is improving. The structure of the work is also changing to a more modern method which looks better.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I believe we do receive a good amount of support from the employer for both work and personal related problems.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
There is a slight gap between the communication to the training provider. I don't often feel that we are ever contacted to check up on progress or concerns we may have. I also feel that they are a bit slow to react to situations that are brought up.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
The qualification its self i think needs to be looked into because it is a lot more theory based and not actual skills we need, even though the teaching of the subjects and units is well and understood. Generally the criteria needed isn't going to be used within the job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are events that you are able to get involved with. You can help with charity committee, apprenticeship school visits and other specific jobs to the areas.
