Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am an Engineer in the Paint department. I have ongoing projects that usually need trials that I undertake on most days. I then evaluate and discuss results.
In addition I have more minor tasks and help other engineers carry out daily activities.
If there is a smaller problem with production (only primer or primer inspection as I have most interaction with them) I also follow the problem with the process engineer.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I absolutely loved the programme, it has a good balance of courses to extend your leaning and real responsibilities in your day to day work. There is also lots of support available, you are pushed to be your best but never feel lost/alone.

I found the programme very well structured in order to ease you into the industry, personally I have never worked in such a large organisation but I was found all the courses and share and grows helped the transition. They also aided my actual day to day work in a way that you couldn't have been taught on the job.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I found that I was supported my entire time here, firstly the HR team were fantastic in the induction week and made the experience much less daunting. We also had fun with some team activities which helped all the members joining at the same time bond.
There is a supportive nature in Toyota, that I have experienced, from the general managers down to the members.
In my department, my mentor was always there to show me new things and answer any questions I have. The other engineers in my department are also very helpful, answerer any questions and help me whenever I needed it.
Finally my section manager is absolutely fantastic, he supported and built my confidence so much.
Through the whole IP scheme learning and development are also there to help and support me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
When undergoing courses we had share and grows, these helped to see what other people had been doing and gave you the opportunity to adjust your work.
Learning and development also kept the presentation informal as not to stress you out.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
We have share and grows, these consist of the new employees who started at the same time coming together and having a but of a networking event.
