Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role is dynamic as we work on client projects that usually only last a few months, therefore it is not repetitive. We usually have 2 weeks of training before beginning a new project and a few weeks on business development in between projects. A normal day may include a daily catch-up call with the team and the tasks vary depend on role or level of responsibility.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme a lot due to the opportunities it brings now and for future career prospects

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Networking skills, IT skills, Excel and Word skills, communication skills and thinking outside the box

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
This year has been a bit tough due to covid making the induction process different, it was a little strange being onboarded having not met anyone. But the experience of the year above's onboarding sounded much more interactive and fun.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We have pod leads and project managers within projects to ask for help. We had a buddy in the year above to guide us through onboarding and also a counsellor to represent our improvement and also guide us through building our CMI portfolio, as well as other admin tasks like booking holidays.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We have 3x tripartite meetings a year with our work counsellor and university counsellor to help guide through CMI portfolio and day-to-day work and university life.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It is reassuring to have guidance there if I ever needed it so it allows me to be more explorative and unafraid of making mistakes in my learning process. I also never feel as though I'm asking a 'stupid question'
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes, I am involved in EY Women's Network and Inclusiveness and Belonging group. I am also aware of there being a women's netball team when its not Covid.
