Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
As a 4th year we are polishing the skills we have learned over the last three years as to prepare us for our jobs. By this time we are working more independently with supervision. The work we do is general maintenance on our tooling and die equipment. This includes preventative and reactive based repairs in a production environment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I very much enjoy my apprenticeship. More for me, it's the people I work with that make the difference. As well the work I do is fun as I've always enjoyed taking things apart and fitting them back together. Furthermore there are opportunities in the business for social activities (before and hopefully after Covid) like a mountain challenge.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
This year I've probably learned the most out of any year. Working independently has allowed me to learn at my pace, which works best for me. Any mistakes I make, I am allowed to fix myself as well as I am taking more responsibility for my work. Then as well, I am developing my existing skill set.
