Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
I aim to positively assist apprentices and enable potential. I aim to be and apprentices go to person to problem bust any barrier that occur.
I also engage regular with smaller and medium sized employers. Working with partnerships for larger employers, such as West Sussex County Counsel.
I often do reviews with apprentices to ensure they are on track and support any pastoral issues or barriers, as well as putting in place strategies for strength and potential.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I'm clear on what I need to achieve, and know who to go to when I am unclear. My Apprenticeship Coach has been outstanding.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
But since joining my apprenticeship I have developed my coaching skills massively, through training and coaching sessions.
The proudest achievement for me is developing my confidence.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
For the TAQA, my assessor checks in regularly with me and has progress review where they set me SMART targets and ensures I am clear with what I need to achieve.
I have had plenty of opportunities to shadow at my work also, being flexible whether in person or over teams.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
I've come a long way from when I first started back in March through my provider and shadowing.
