Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Support and enhance apprentices journey and encourage learner excellence and potential.
I aim to positively assist apprentices and enable potential. I aim to be and apprentices go to person to problem bust any barrier that occur.
I also engage regular with smaller and medium sized employers. Working with partnerships for larger employers, such as West Sussex County Counsel.
I often do reviews with apprentices to ensure they are on track and support any pastoral issues or barriers, as well as putting in place strategies for strength and potential.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
My programme is fantastic, the assessors are great at communicating and checking in to see how we are getting on and supporting me.
I'm clear on what I need to achieve, and know who to go to when I am unclear. My Apprenticeship Coach has been outstanding.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Since starting in my role back in March last year I have developed many skills and been very adaptive in the circumstances of 2020. I have attended plenty of training sessions for further my knowledge.
But since joining my apprenticeship I have developed my coaching skills massively, through training and coaching sessions.
The proudest achievement for me is developing my confidence.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
There are plenty of training sessions with the coaching element of the programme.
For the TAQA, my assessor checks in regularly with me and has progress review where they set me SMART targets and ensures I am clear with what I need to achieve.
I have had plenty of opportunities to shadow at my work also, being flexible whether in person or over teams.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Plenty of support, from all areas. As mentioned before my Apprenticeship coach has been outstanding, going above and beyond.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Engagement on my apprenticeship has been fantastic, even the small details such as receiving news letters.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I have been able to embed my training from coaching into my one to ones with my students. Reflecting well and incorporate theory into my practice.
I've come a long way from when I first started back in March through my provider and shadowing.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
This is something I would like more information on.
