Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My job role is to maintain the business efficiently in the absence of the restaurant general manager, I need to deal with complaints cash handling and staffing such as covering any shifts if we get a sick call and it it my job to monitor the stock and place accurate orders to compensate for sales achieved and expected.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the freedom of the learning because it’s all been on the job or online which makes it easier to fit around my day it doesn’t interrupt my schedule with work and it offered great flexibility with my family life too overall it’s been a great experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed my managerial skills and during this process I have learnt to handle more situations and how to relate our business to generalised business management it has been very fulfilling being able to take the steps required to achieve a higher role in the company and to be able to advance my learning.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Overall the structure is accurate and efficient, organisation has improved following the break this was due to a change in trainer and my trainer was very hands on to help me succeed and we accomplished more in two months then I had in the first year though this was greatly impacted by the pandemic that was sadly unavoidable
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have received ample support so that my shifts have had enough cover to allow me time to do my learning and I’ve had great flexibility to be able to request my shifts be swapped or changed at moments notice to allow availability for the online sessions I needed to attend.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Alan has been a great support he managed to take me from being behind on my learning to ready for my end point assessment in the space of two months this was a great help and a great relief it helped me massively and gave me a massive confidence boost.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I believe that the training I’ve under taken has helped me to preform better as a manager because I’m more engaged with the business and I’m able to see where my training supports my role which I’m turn allows me to preform better at my job and help job efficiency.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Sadly we don’t have any in place at such time this has been greatly impacted due to the current pandemic we are facing, however we have had staff nights where we can choose an activity and have fun whilst team building and hopefully we’ll be able to pick this back up once the current restrictions are lifted.
