Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
We learn the basics of looking after aircraft through on the job training. We also undertake courses towards licenses in the industry.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the work when I’m working practically. It allows me to further my skills and learn new ones

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes to both. I’ve learnt new skills and enhances ones I already had.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
It could have been better. Due to previous circumstances it was a difficult start to our apprenticeship. After some time it started to steady out and we eventually got to a point where it worked well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
We receive support for the training and learning. When it comes to moving home there wasn’t a great deal of support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We receive a decent amount of support
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The on the job training is most beneficial in performing better in my job role rather than completing the qualification itself
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
None official ones that I am aware of. But inter group activities can be arranged amongst co workers
