As a student ambassador I promote the career a we offer at BA to schools, colleges, and careers fairs. I also assist with the inspire/emerging talent department within BA
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I love my program it is amazing working for a large organisation especially at the age I started and continue to help with the emerging talent team

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Definitely the role has given me a lot more confidence within myself as I have been able to talk to the public giving information about the industry that I am so passionate about

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It very organised we have regular emails sent with information about upcoming events and have a group text so we can communicate well within the program
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer they have really helped me gain transferable skills I can use within different roles and helps me gain the skills I need to progress to roles within the company
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have gained so much support from my training this includes cv preparation and skills and knowledge I need for the application process at BA. This meant learning about psychometric testing, assistant centres and interview preparation
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel the qualification has really helped me preform better for when the times comes to doing interviews and applications for large companies. It has made me a lot more confident for being prepared and these skills I am able to keep for the rest of my life
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We try hard to create some fundraising activities for our company charity’s including comic relief. This has been walking challenges in the past

Why?
It’s an amazing company to work for. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and to be able to be working for such a large company at the age of 16 is amazing
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
Research the company first make sure you are prepared and dressed appropriately for the interviews and assessments centre.
