Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day to my duties include, answering emails, arranging meetings, with internal and external stakeholders. Managing relationships with multiple people across the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme because it provides me with so much exposure to many different business areas over the two years. I have had many opportunities to experience different ways of working, duty travel and different areas across the business.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

In my placement I have learnt so many skills about management and good ways of working in an office environment. I have had exposure to some senior members of staff and see the ways they behave. I have learnt how to use new systems, new roles and how to adapt.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme has been very well structured. Over the course there have been some times when we have had to show some flexibility and had to adapt to the businesses needs. This has made me become more adaptable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

British Airways has always supported me during my apprenticeship. They have a genuine care for their employees and go above and beyond to make sure they are keeping us apprentices as happy as possible.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider has always been very supportive and adaptive to assist with my unique learning needs.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I find that my role helps my qualification more than the other way around.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have always wanted to take up the football team but COVID has put that on hold.

British Airways provides so many diverse opportunities. Within the organisation I believe there is something for everyone. There is so much variety of working in so many areas, there is no limit where British Airways can take you.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
Ask lots of questions and learn as much as you can.
Network with people in the organisation as you never know what opportunities can happen from a simple email or understanding someones job role.
