In audit we review financial statements of our clients to issue an opinion on them.

How well organised/structured is your programme?
This makes sure you know who to talk to if you have any issues with work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
We also have an apprenticeship coach who guide us with the work we need to do to complete the programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
We can contact any of the tutors via email or phone call if we are stuck on any topics or questions and they are happy to respond.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
We learn all the technical accounting treatments with the training provider which is helpful when reviewing client work as we can understand if they have applied incorrect accounting treatment.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
We also have 2 days each year which we can take to volunteer which is really generous of the company.
We also have sports teams who compete against other Big 4 companies.

The culture involves promoting wellness and flexible working so they are keeping up to date.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
Ensure that you research the company and their morals, main aims etc. This will show that you are interested in the business and have put time into researching their ethos.
Also make sure you ask questions about the business or any you have about the role.
