Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a project coordinator I have involvement in 2 areas of the business; glass and beverages. In beverages I work for the New Product Development department working on refining the overarching workflow process and improving the efficiency of one of the filling lines. For glass I am working on an Industry 4.0 project trying to deliver a full traceability system for all glass manufactured on the new line using blockchain and QR codes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Pre-covid I was enjoying it a lot more, workshops in Chester Uni were in depth and provided plenty of material and learning to complete each module competently. However, since lock-downs have been imposed teaching online has been difficult and involved more self teaching on the module topic but manageable.

Very well structured. Each module seems to build into the next whilst providing great topic knowledge to become a successful manager.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get the required time allowance and have been placed in my new role to assist with my development but for the actual degree i get little support or check ups regarding progress. I have not found this to be an issue and there have been bigger things for the company to worry about in the past 12 months but catch ups with HR would have been helpful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I am provided plenty of opportunities to raise any issues I have and my personal mentor Jan Jones is always available to help me with personal and professional issues. A great support to me in the last 12 months.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have learned what questions to ask and who to consider whilst in work. It has aided me greatly in my project role for this reason allowing me to develop PM skills and professional skills that help with PM and future management roles i will hopefully attain.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Not in the past 12 months due to Covid but generally as a workforce we interact well and have been to company football events in the past.

Why?
Encirc is a company growing year on year, invests heavily in new technology and people which I believe will deliver longevity and for employees job security. It has issues as it is a young business in some regards but I find a positive in this as it provides an opportunity for me to grow, learn and develop with the business.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Encirc?
Encirc's core values stem around CI, sustainability, people and customers. If you show that you align with these values you will put yourself in good stead to secure a role in the business.
