Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is supporting students on a one-to-one basis in a PRU. These students are on a short term stay at SILS 6 to work on their social, emotional aspects of learning and behaviour in order for their mainstream school to allow them to take their place back.
I set individual students' timetables daily and prepare resources and work differentiation if it is needed.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my course a lot! The tutors, HR staff and even my colleagues within my placement are all lovely and super helpful! I never feel alone on my programme and always have someone from LMP checking in on me.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I am currently on a Level 5 course that I have just started. However, I have also completed levels 3 and 4 with LMP (over the course of nearly 3 years now)

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My two courses from previous years were structured great. Before starting my course, the activities and assignments that were needed were laid out to me and a plan was created for myself so that I could keep up with the work. This new course has started off great too!
How much support do you receive from your employer?

As explained in a previous question, I am immensely happy with the support I receive from LMP. Someone will always call me or at least email within the week to make sure that I am comfortable with the course and just do a general check of how I am.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have a person from LMP who is a point of contact (course tutor), however I can call any member of LMP and they will ALWAYS be happy to help me out or point me in the right direction of someone who can. They also make it clear that if I need extra training, I can put this forward to them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My training has given me the confidence to perform my role well through giving me the set knowledge, skills and professionalism to adhere to. My apprenticeship has made it easy for me to step into the profession I want to do and made me feel positive that I can achieve that.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, over the few years I have been with LMP, there have been many extra-curricular activities such as Introduction week (lots of learning and Ice breaker games to get to know the other apprentices), I have been offered Twilight talks that are beneficial to my role as a LST.

Would you recommend Inspire ATA Ltd. to a friend?

Why?
They are extremely helpful, super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to put you on the right professional stepping stone. At the end of my first apprenticeship with them, I did not know what I was going to do after being awarded my Level 3 TA apprenticeship but they set a meeting up and help put me at ease.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Inspire ATA Ltd.?
Apply, Apply, Apply! Don't think that this apprenticeship or that one is not for you, have a conversation with Inspire ATA and they can give you all the information you need and guidance as to what career pathway you can take.
