Accounts Assistant Review

I am responsible for: recording all purchase invoices, raising all sales invoices, credit control, communicating with clients to resolve any queries, checking payrolls against sales invoices, tracking and paying employee expenses every month and reconciling all bank transactions.
On a day to day basis I mainly interact with my financial controller if any issues or queies are raised that I am unsure how to deal with, I am currently taking on new responsibilities, so I speak with her regularly to ensure that I am completing new tasks correctly.

Throughout my apprenticeship I have had a few different tutors, however I do not feel that this has effected my progress as Let Me Play have always maintained a key line of communication and since the start of my apprenticeship I have had monthly meetings with my tutor to assess my progress as well as fortnightly sessions of revision in preparation for all exams. I have felt supported for the entire duration of my programme, I believe this comed from the regular communication between myself and my tutor.

Since starting my role with Let Me Play I have felt supported in both my job and my apprenticeship. I know that there are multiple people I can go to if I need support, whether that is with my job or just support in general. If I ever feel I need support I never feel like I cannot talk to someone and this has made my time with Let Me Play more enjoyable and less stressfull.

My tutor has always made it clear that I can go to them if I ever need any help or support. This has been a massive part of why I have enjoyed my apprenticeship, as I have always felt prepared before going into an exam and I believe this is down to the level of support provided by the delivery team.
Support is easily accessible from my tutor as we communicate regularly via email and Whatsapp.

I believe that my qualification has helped me to perform better in my role as it has helped me to understand why I complete certain tasks. For example, when I upload and record invoices I now understand why it is so important to get VAT amounts and rates correct. I have learnt this through my revision for my indirect taxation exam that i completed as part of my qualification. Another example of how my qualification has helped me to perform beter in my role, is through the knowledge I have gained on double entry.

I would recomend Let Me Play to a friend because they have given me the opportunity to gain a qualification while gaining vital experience in my specific area. Another reason I would recomend Let Me Play is that they provide a high level of support to all apprentices. Since begining my apprenticeship I have always been able to talk to someone about my plans for after I get my qualification, this has allowed me to make a plan and understand my options.
