Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
on Mondays we need to do college, this consist of half a day working on the engineer mathematics and then sending the other half working on electronics, PLC and electrical.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The apprenticeship incorporates people from different engineering background , so it is challenging for some people who have to learn new topic and for others it feels slow when you are going over things you've learn before. I personally would have wanted to get more teaching.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
During the week ( Tuesday- Friday) we are on dofferent rotations for the workshop. Some rotations are welding, milling and lathing. During these periods, we learn different techniques for engineering.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The structure is good, there is help wherever you need help. When sending quietest out to managers and tutors, you get responses quite quickly .
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
You receive a LOT of support from each tutor and management. They actually care about what is bothering you and they try to put measures in to prevent you from straying away
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
during the 4 week rotation and every Monday, you get a lot of help. Tutors and managers are only an email way, i wa stuck with some issues that needed immediate help and within an hour I got a response back telling me what I need to do .
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I would say that it is slightly targegeted however I believe that it can be better suited for specific people and their course. It would be better if people were told this is what you need to do for your qualification and have a course custom suited to them
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
there are extra curricular activities provided such as sky diving, mountain climbing and football clubs.
