Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Tasks set by supervisors - mainly research / administrative. Attending panel events and presentations on the various practice areas offered by the firm.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Incredibly insightful. The firm organised multiple events to give us a clear and comprehensive understanding of how Macfarlanes works, what life is like at Macfarlanes and an insight into a wide variety of the practice areas offered by the firm.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have learnt how to negotiate effectively. Further, my research skills have developed, learning how to concisely summarise important points and presenting this in a clear manner. Moreover, I have been able to practice quick thinking by being encouraged to think on my feet and be agile in my analysis.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
It was enjoyable. Particularly to be able to network with people across the firm. We were given a very comprehensive view of life and culture at the firm as well as challenged intellectually.
