Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Spring into Deloitte in Manchester is a two-day insight programme for first-year students, featuring workshops, networking, and team activities. It introduced me to roles in Audit, Tax, and Strategy, and I gained a strong understanding of Deloitte’s culture, values, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was eye-opening to learn about the wide range of roles available at Deloitte beyond just accounting. The sessions clearly explained how different departments like Audit, Tax, and Technology work together, and helped me see how my skills could fit into various areas of the business.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I developed my teamwork and communication skills through group activities and case studies. I also improved my commercial awareness by learning how Deloitte supports clients across different industries, and gained confidence in a professional setting by networking with employees and asking questions during panel session

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture at Deloitte felt welcoming, inclusive, and supportive. Everyone was approachable and happy to share their experiences. There was a strong emphasis on collaboration, personal development, and diversity, which created a positive and encouraging atmosphere throughout the programme.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the insight especially the interactive workshops and hearing from current employees about their career journeys. It was a great mix of learning, networking, and hands-on experience, and it gave me a much clearer picture of what it’s like to work at Deloitte.

Be genuinely curious, research Deloitte’s values, service lines, and recent projects so you can ask thoughtful questions. Show enthusiasm for learning and working in teams, and don’t be afraid to speak up during group tasks. Finally, be yourself, they value authenticity and a willingness to grow more than perfection.
