Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I took part in a 2 week vacation scheme at BCLP. I sat in the Tech and Commercial team where I helped fee earners with various legal and administrative tasks. I also attended various workshops and insight talks whilst on the scheme.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I was able to experience what it would be like if I was a trainee at the firm and how my contributions would have an impact upon the business. I also developed a better understanding of the way the firm attracts and retains clients and how it makes money.

I developed research skills, communication skills and commercial awareness. I also became a lot more confident in my understanding of how a law firm operates as a business.

Everyone at BCLP is friendly and approachable. They will always carve out time where they can to talk to you about their work and will always help you out if you need the help.
