Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
In the virtual event, we were given many great talks from EY colleagues and insightful information about what it is like to work in EY, the work culture there and tips to have a successful career. I thoroughly enjoyed this event as I learned a lot.
The day after I attended the in-person event in Canary Wharf. We were given great talks as well as a chance to network with other students as well as EY workers. We were then given tips on how to succeed in the Experience Day coming up soon and we were also given a mock assessment to further prepare us.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was intimidating at first because I was not sure what I would be doing, but EY made me very confident in myself and excited for all the prospects available there. There is such a vast amount of ways to learn no matter what role you end up in.

I definitely improved my skills of being comfortable to talk to people and network, which could be counted as relationship builder. I developed my existing skills in logical thinking, as well as listening.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was great, every single person I asked about what it is like to work there has answered with 'the people are great'. Its inspiring to be presented with this type of work culture as my first time visiting an office because it has set my expectations extremely high for any other employers. The atmosphere at EY was eclectic because there were so many diverse people who provided useful insight.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
It was amazing being able to have this opportunity to learn from EY and to visit their beautiful office. I enjoyed it to a massive extent.
