Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I recently completed the Spring into Deloitte: Audit & Tax Insight Programme, where I collaborated on a case study exploring key business risks and presented solutions to senior leaders. Daily sessions covered Corporate Tax, Audit, and Assurance, offering valuable insights into cross-team collaboration. Highlights included presentation training, networking with professionals, and learning about Deloitte’s inclusive, people-first culture. This experience gave me a clearer understanding of career paths at Deloitte and strengthened my teamwork and communication skills.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was incredibly insightful to learn about Deloitte’s business and the wide range of roles available. Through sessions with professionals across Audit, Assurance, and Tax, I gained a clear understanding of how different teams collaborate to support clients. Hearing real career stories and day-to-day experiences helped me see the variety of career paths and progression opportunities. It really opened my eyes to how dynamic and people-focused Deloitte is, and where I could potentially fit in.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
During the Spring into Deloitte programme, I developed key skills including teamwork, communication, and analytical thinking through a case study project. I also enhanced my presentation skills thanks to a dedicated session before presenting to senior leaders. Engaging with professionals helped me grow my confidence in networking and understanding technical concepts in Audit and Tax. Overall, I’ve gained a stronger skillset and clearer insight into the professional skills valued at Deloitte.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte
My top advice would be to research Deloitte’s values and service lines, understanding the firm’s culture and how Audit, Tax, and Assurance work together really helps you stand out. Also, be yourself and show genuine curiosity during the process. Engage actively, ask questions, and make the most of networking opportunities. Finally, prepare for group work by practicing teamwork and communication skills, as collaboration is a big part of Deloitte’s culture and insight programmes.
