Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
This 4-day insight scheme allowed me to get hands-on legal experience. I was assigned to a Competition seat after selecting it as my first choice and had the opportunity to shadow a trainee in the practice area. Everyone at the firm was warm and welcoming, and we each had many opportunities to get to know fee-earners of all levels.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I have learnt that there is a variety of training programmes for trainees across all practice areas.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have developed negotiation skills during the litigation exercise. I also received a comprehensive IT training on the first day. The scheme also allowed me to develop my communication and networking skills.
