Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The programme provide an overview of working in Deloitte and how is daily life looks like. As a participant, we are provided with a real-life case study, and are required to provide advice based on audit, assurance and tax. We then present our findings as a team to senior in Deloitte. We also learnt more about audit, assurance and tax through partner and analyst sharing.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It is very insightful when learning more about audit, assurance and tax. As mentioned in the sharing, there is a wrong perception of what is audit like in general public, and this programme enables me to build a strong understanding of audit as an industry. Regarding the potential roles available, it is amazing to know that there are many opportunities in Deloitte, which is a huge impact on my career journey.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have developed a strong communication skills through the group project. We all have different idea and are able to communicate and coordinate. I also developed my presenting skills. Through presenting to senior in Deloitte, I have learned some key tips, such as how to structure a presentation, and also use more body language to express the idea.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
From the sharing about diversity, it is good to know that Deloitte is a very inclusive business, encourage employee to be themself when working. Also, there is a lot of support provided to new joiner in the business, which is greatly impactful as it helps people to create the inclusiveness and sense of belonging.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
To a large extent I enjoy the insight. Not only am I able to meet people with similar value, and also improving my communication and presentation skills. Learning more about the industry from industry leader is insightful, and impactful to my career journey.
