Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
It was a two day insight programme where we were split into groups of seven, and had to examine a case study, and create a report for a panel of Deloitte staff, including managers and partners. We also heard many staff members describe their experiences within the company, from people who had just come through their summer placement programme all the way to partners.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very refreshing. There was a good emphasis on showing people within the business from different backgrounds and offices, and I was surprised at how many different subdivisions within audit and tax there was.

For one, I’ve increased my understanding of the work that is done as a whole, especially from the case study experience. Also, having an explanation on the skills of presentation helped improve my communication skills.

The atmosphere felt very positive overall, especially encouraging learning and not particularly expecting much prior knowledge
