What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Understanding the business and the various potential roles available at Deloitte was enlightening. It provided me with a clear view of how each department contributes to the overall success of the organisation. I found it fascinating to learn about the different pathways, from advisory, post-delivery to other specialised roles. This exposure helped me appreciate the importance of each role and how they collaborate to solve complex challenges. Overall, it motivated me to explore different career paths and identify where I could make the most impact.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
During my time at Deloitte, I really honed my skills in analysing problems using the SCQ framework and learned how to communicate more effectively through structured pitches. Working in specialised teams taught me the value of collaboration and time management. I also practised my pitches multiple times, which helped me convey ideas more clearly. Overall, I gained a deeper understanding of trust-building and developed a growth mindset, which will be invaluable in my career.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I genuinely enjoyed the insights I gained during my time at Deloitte. Be sure to articulate which sector you’re interested in and why, and reflect on how your previous experiences have shaped your decision. The question "Why Deloitte?" is crucial; they want to see that you’ve done your research. Go beyond just learning the company’s history—connect with current employees through workshops, insight events, or webinars, and consider reaching out on LinkedIn for coffee chats.
