Brand Strategy Assistant Review

On a daily basis I worked responding to queries via meetings and emails, these often involved questions about branding, tone of voice, and opportunities for brand partnerships. The role often involved critical thinking and sharing ideas with colleagues to reach a final answer. I also worked closely with various external agencies which provided services to the business.

Yes I was given lots of responsibility during my placement where I felt like a valued member of the team and I felt like the work I did truly contributed towards the business.

Yes! I developed concise and professional communication skills, problem solving skills, public speaking skills, presenting skills, and different ways of thinking overall when approaching problems. My placement was extremely valuable in developing myself personally and professionally.

I received constant support during my placement not only from my line manager but from all members of the team. Across the business it was also always made clear that there was always someone to help if we encountered any issues.

The culture at the workplace was friendly and very inviting to placement students, people were always happy to support and help new starters.

I really enjoyed my placement year. I feel like I made real contributions to the business and made great connections. I also made great friends with my cohort of interns and also colleagues of the business. I have had considerable professional and personal development during my placement which makes me feel equipped for my final year of university and job hunting after.
