Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

This was a 2-day insight into the Audit sector at Deloitte. The first day involved hearing from the CEO of Deloitte, learning about what it means to become a professional, building your professional brand, problem solving and working in a team. On the second day, we were given a real life case-study to work on in our respective teams and had to present a pitch to our peers and partners at Deloitte. We also got the opportunity to hear colleague experiences stories from the staff who work at Deloitte and were given valuable CV, interview and Cover Letter advice. Lunch and breakfast were provided on both days.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

On the last day, we were all given a breakdown into the different opportunities Deloitte offers. This ranges from their placements, to their vacation schemes and their graduate roles. It was clear to me that within Deloitte, the career progression is quite fast and that Deloitte emphasises development and growth for all their employees.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture at Deloitte is definitely welcoming, people-focused and inclusive. Deloitte emphasises success and excellence, but also encourages learning and development. This way, anyone is capable of achieving their goals regardless of what barriers you face.
