Intern Review

We covered many of Deloittes values with a speaker, he then took us through what it takes to work at Deloitte. There were also a lot of other speakers that work there currently. We had to do some tasks aswell that tested how we worked in a group. On the second day, we did a consulting case study where we were put into groups, sent a few pages on a case and had to devise a presentation in which we delivered to senior leaders and the rest of the interns.

During my Deloitte Spring Insight Week, I had the chance to immerse myself in the business and explore the various roles available within the firm. The experience was eye-opening, as it provided a comprehensive overview of Deloitte's operations and the wide array of opportunities in consulting, audit, tax, and financial advisory. Engaging with professionals across different departments allowed me to gain insights into the skills and expertise required in each area. I particularly enjoyed the interactive sessions, where we were tasked with analyzing real-world business cases and presenting our solutions to senior leaders. This not only enhanced my understanding of the industry but also sharpened my critical thinking and communication skills. The week solidified my interest in the financial sector and confirmed my desire to pursue a career where I can contribute to impactful business solutions.

I've developed my communication skills as we were asked a lot of questions off the cuff, with the consulting case study presenting it. It was also a very good opportunity to have to work in a group where we didn't know the other people, so we had to quickly learn everyones strengths and weaknesses, so that we could work well together. Finally, I would say your leadership skills improve as everyone is forced to take initiative in the group.
