Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role on a day to day basis consisted of testing a variety of balances in a companies financial statements, this would include working in a team with my colleagues and liaising with them on a daily basis and also communicating with the entity I would be working with.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
While on the placement you are responsible for all of your own work and it is yours to complete. You are responsible for completing your assigned work. You are supported throughout doing this and albeit you are given responsibility, you do have support from your team.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have vastly developed my skills in audit and am now confident completing audit work to a high quality. I have also developed my communication skills in a professional environment. In addition to these my IT skills, specifically excel have improved a ton.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
The support I received from my peers and seniors on the placement was very helpful. I had semi regular catch ups with my people manager to discuss my progress and reviews occurred fairly often. The support surrounding the actual work was supportive and took into account my lack of experience.

Company culture was very inclusive and made sure that everyone felt welcome. Had different socials/events that l catered to everyone.
