Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a BISO team intern, my role involved working closely with the BISO officer to review cyber metrics and enhance security awareness within LCH. I was responsible for acting as a liaison between the business units and the security team, facilitating communication and ensuring that security policies and practices were effectively integrated into business operations.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was involved in reviewing cyber metrics, contributing to security awareness initiatives, and serving as a liaison between the business and security teams. These tasks required me to apply and develop my skills actively, demonstrating trust in my ability to handle key aspects of the role.

My experience with the BISO LCH team was highly enriching. Working closely with the BISO officer provided me with in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and its practical applications within the post-trade technology space. My PL and buddy and team members were consistently available for feedback and assistance, providing clear direction on my tasks and helping me navigate complex challenges.
