Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Rotating across different desks, learning about different aspects of Nomura’s global markets’ business. Shadowing employees, completing daily tasks, networking, completing rotation projects.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I think I was given a good balance of enough responsibility to feel like I was making an impact on the desk and that I was being pushed, but not too much responsibility to the point that it was overwhelming

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Received lots of support and guidance from both juniors and seniors on the teams. Having a mentor was immensely useful, as well as allocated buddy’s on the desk.
