Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was interning as a Summer Analyst in the Consumer and Retail team. I was assisting the junior members of the team on their daily tasks. I was doing some valuation tasks and producing some marketing materials, regarding the staffing.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Regarding the team and the fact that it was a 9-week internship, I think that I had the opportunity to assist the team in value-added tasks. The team was totally opened to give responsibility to interns when they could

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have done two internships in the same sector before joining Nomura as a Summer Analyst Intern. This internship allowed me to develop the skills I started to learn during my previous work experience, but I have also learnt new skills such as working in an international environment as I am from Paris.

I receivd support and guidance every time it was needed and even before asking for. The people I worked with were very kind and wanted to give me the maximum exposure.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Really good atmosphere with a nice company culture. People care about your work flow, they want you to really understand what you are doing (always giving the big picture - even during rush moment) and were always attentive about my well-being at work.
