Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I have worked as part of both audit and assurance teams, predominantly within the Large & Complex Banking & Capital Markets audit practice. I have worked on different areas of each project, predominantly helping prepare working papers on the audit file.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given lots of responsibility on my Industrial Placement, particularly when connecting with client contacts.

I have learnt many new skills regarding teamwork and connecting with client contacts, and I have developed my analytical and IT skills across the year, including Microsoft Excel.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a lot of support and guidance, both from my team managers and other team members, and from my People Leader, who acted as my mentor throughout the process.
